We are not replacing large power systems.

The world is filled with sensors, monitoring temperature, humidity, air quality, pressure, and movement across buildings, factories, farms, and homes. But most of these sensors still rely on batteries, making large deployments expensive, slow to maintain, and wasteful. As a result, many sensor networks are never installed at all, simply because powering them is the biggest barrier.

There is always some moisture in the air, even when we don’t notice it. When this moisture comes into contact with the COVA layer, water molecules naturally bind to its surface and create a gentle flow of ions within the material. This ion movement generates a small but steady electrical signal. As long as the device is exposed to air, the COVA layer continues producing power on its own.
